My first meeting with Tom was at intermission at a Granbury Live show. Tom and Sandi had just returned from a long motorcycle riding vacation, and the bike was parked out front. I ask Tom if that was his bike, and did he realize his rear tire was worn out. He knew...I ask him to come ride with my motorcycle club sometime. He remarked that he likes to ride faster than group rides. I ask him how fast he liked to ride. He replied 80 or 90 MPH. I said, "that's okay, we'll wait for you." We were good friends from that moment on, and shared many hours together!
