I was first introduced to Tom McRae through the 1999 Great Race Year Book. What a wonderful publication. What caught my eye however was not the cars or the hype about the race but that it's founder had the guts to give a witness through his personal testimony in "How The Race Began." I couldn't wait to meet him and of course there was no disappointment when I did. You always new where you stood with him. Sam, you may remember the Automobile Museum we took him to here in Anaheim that we thought might make a good place for the award ceremony. Tom's comment after the tour was "It looks like a K-Mart parking lot from the 50's." We got the message. After he sold the Greatrace, he invited us to visit Granbury Live. That was one of most exciting times of our lives. To spend time with Sandi and see her dedication to the Lord and Tom just on fire was a true blessing to us. We have lost a friend and God probably has his hands full. We rejoice in knowing he is with the Lord and look forward to meeting him again in Heaven.
