CHILD EVANGELISM FELLOWSHIP "THE GOOD NEWS CLUBS" By Pam Lott, Granbury Representative
Words are too inadequate to express how much Tom McRae impressed my life, Child Evangelism Fellowship in this area of the world, and the Bible Reading Marathon. At the end of last year Tom called me and asked how he could donate to Child Evangelism Fellowship and I told him how. So very grateful I was to receive his generous donation! I want to share with you what that meant to me and the children in this area. With me, it touched my heart in the closest way by remembering my passion for the children in this area to hear the Gospel message of Jesus Christ. I will be forever grateful to Tom for validating me and the Child Evangelism Fellowship ministry in this area. It was the first expression in support of my efforts here in this area. With his generous support this last year we have been able to hand out over 200 Bibles to children in the area Good News Clubs; it has supported 4 Good News Clubs with curriculum and supplies for those Clubs not be able to support themselves; it has made available free resources given to most of the GNCs besides the curriculum and we still have some resources left to help new Good News Clubs to start and more Bibles to give to the children. Also, we are going to continue with the dream of building the Good News Caboose so we can reach children at fairs, in neighborhoods, etc. This fall the Good News Clubs reached 1024 children and 118 children salvations. Each child represented here God has Tom’s hand print on their name. These children have been able to hear the Gospel message and have either made a decision this past fall for Christ or the message is tucked away in their hearts for a decision to be made later because of the generosity of Tom McRae. So Tom is still living today in the ministry of Child Evangelism Fellowship and I see his hand in every opportunity we have to share the Good News of Jesus to a child. And now to the Bible Reading Marathon and the support he and Sandi have given. For the past three years, Tom and Sandi have been so gracious as to let me park the sound system in their foyer at night. Let me tell you what a blessing that has been for me to be able to keep it there. Also, what a great support it was to have them share their wonderful staff with the Bible Reading Marathon by allowing them to read on their work time and the wonderful popcorn and cokes they provided me during the week. This past year Tom read and what a blessing that was for all to hear! I would have hugged Tom over and over again if I wasn’t afraid of Sandi! They have been so special to all of Granbury for their part in making Jesus Christ known in the Granbury area with their walk and talk to God’s glory. I give my greatest heartfelt gratitude to God the Father for being blessed to know Tom McRae these past few years. I’m so grateful that I still see him at every turn at the Good News Clubs and the Bible Reading Marathon cheering the efforts made by all to glorify Jesus!
